New Single Quick-Set Adhesive that Meets Multiple Applications in the Plant

Multibond EZ-1 is a one-component cross linking polyvinyl acetate (PVA) emulsion that offers an extremely quick speed of set, high water resistance and a viscosity of 3,200 to 4,500 cps for a manageable assembly time of five to ten minutes. These characteristics combine to help make the adhesive one of the best all-around adhesives for manufacturing wood products. It can be used for high frequency and hot or cold press, edge and facing gluing and finger jointing as well as assembly.

This versatile wood adhesive stands out for its high water resistance. It meets or exceeds European Standard DIN EN 204 D3, ANSI/HPMA 1994 Type II water resistance, ANSI/HPVA EF 2002 (Bond Line Test) and NWWDA Type I and Type II water resistance – while also meeting ASTM D-5572 for dry use and European Standard DIN EN 14257 2006-09 (WATT 91) for heat resistance. This environmentally friendly formula also complies with the European E-1 formaldehyde emission standard, has met the U.S. CARB standard in various constructions and qualifies for LEED credits.
